The Power Of Ten & Then Some!

In decades past....and I have lived through a total of 5 of them now! And a couple of extra years to boot! My younger sister turned 50 this year and is not as happy as I was when I hit that mark! I am so thankful that I got to celebrate my 50th birthday because I had been diagnosed with cancer for the second time and was in the middle of fighting it. I learned to be thankful for every day and especially birthdays. I have seen a lot of things change in the 50+ years that I have been alive. The main thing that has all of on line right now is the internet and computers! The Bible speaks of knowledge increasing and men running to and fro! I think that describes all of us at this time. If you had told me just 30 years ago that I would be doing work on line and meeting others that were like minded I would have thought your creme filling had slipped out of your cookie! Yet here I am writing this for all of you! Forty years ago you could not have convinced me it was cold enough to come inside while I was playing in the snow in Pennsylvainia! Now you would have no problem telling me it is cold outside! I feel it a lot more than I use to! I remember when we had 8 track tapes and thought that was so cool. Would have never thought we could download thousands of songs into and IPOD! Movies you had to go to a theater to see them, later on TV, that too went from black and white to color! I remember listening to a battery operated transitor radio for my music and 45s and 33s! Makes my kids giggle when I tell them tales of "back in the day" things that I saw change in my lifetime. I hope you all giggle a bit too and that this may bring a smile to each of your faces as you read it. I also hope that you will look forward to the next ten years ahead that can be full of wonder and amazement. May God richly bless you all in the New Year ahead. I remember the crank wind-up victrola with the 78 RPM records. The best part,like you,I'm amazed at what we have now with the world wide web.
